It is acid free, chlorine free, pH neutral and archival, with natural gelatin sizing that controls absorption and gives you greater precision when working with water and pigment. Its natural white tone contains no optical brighteners, allowing watercolor pigments to retain their natural, balanced character.
The hot pressed surface is the smoothest of the three Masters paper surfaces, offering excellent control for fine lines, small details and crisp edges. Brushes glide smoothly across the paper and the minimal surface texture allows your drawing and brushwork to remain clearly defined, making it particularly well suited to botanical painting, illustration, portraiture and precise watercolor techniques.
