The Ranger Dylusions Dyamond Rocks – Clear is the ultimate versatility tool in the Dyamond line. Made from large transparent crystal-cut pieces, they melt into thick, glossy layers that resemble molten glass or clear resin — without affecting the color underneath.

Use them alone for glassy dimensional texture, or as a top coat over any color, ink, spray or acrylic to enhance depth, shine and reflectivity while keeping the original hue intact.

Perfect for artists who want sculpted Dyamond texture but need a color-preserving finish.

👉 Features:

  • Ultra-thick transparent crystal-cut particles
  • Melt into clear glossy dimensional layers
  • Do not alter the color beneath
  • Ideal as a textured top coat or standalone effect
  • Great with any Dyamond shade
  • Works perfectly with Dyamond Dust & Dyamond Medium
  • Quantity: 85g (3 oz)

👉 Perfect for:

  • clear dimensional finishes
  • glossy mixed media highlights
  • preserving color while adding texture
  • sealing mica, ink and acrylic layers
  • enamel-like clear coats
  • deep transparent embossing
  • layering with colored Dyamond Rocks

Inspiration tip: Try a “mini glass cabochon”: coat a small die-cut or image with Dyamond Medium, add Clear Rocks and heat until fully transparent. Repeat for multiple layers. The final result looks like a glass dome magnifying your design — perfect for tags, jewelry-style embellishments and focal accents.

✨ What is Embossing?

Heat embossing is a technique that creates a raised finish (glossy, pearly, metallic, glittery or textured) on paper and other porous surfaces.

You stamp or write with embossing ink, sprinkle embossing powder, then heat it with a craft heat gun. The powder melts into one smooth raised layer that “sets” the design.

🧩 Mini Glossary

  • Embossing ink: a sticky / slow-drying ink (often clear) that holds the powder in place.
  • Anti-static tool: a pouch/pad you swipe over cardstock before embossing to reduce static and prevent stray powder.
  • Resist technique: embossed areas “resist” ink. Emboss (often with clear powder) and then ink blend over the top.
  • Puff powder: embossing powder that puffs up when heated, creating a soft 3D texture.

🎯 Which powder should you choose?

  • Clear: keeps the ink colour visible underneath and is great for resist.
  • Opaque: solid, strong colour—great on dark cardstock.
  • Metallic: gold/silver/copper with a classic metallic shine.
  • Pearl / Pearlescent: soft, elegant pearly finish.
  • Glitter / Sparkle: bold sparkle that really shows, especially on dark bases.
  • Ultra Fine / Super Fine: best for tiny text and fine detail.
  • Enamel / Mixed Media / Chunky: strong texture and a more rugged finish—great for backgrounds.
  • Puff: fluffy 3D raised effects (snow, frosting, foam).

🔥 How to Heat Emboss (Step-by-step)

  1. Prep the cardstock with an anti-static tool.
  2. Stamp with embossing ink.
  3. Add powder: sprinkle, tap off the excess.
  4. Heat set with a craft heat gun until it melts smoothly.

👉 Can I use a hair dryer?
No. A hair dryer blows air and will scatter the powder. A craft heat gun heats without strong airflow.

🛠️ Common mistakes & fixes

1) Stray powder everywhere
✅ Use an anti-static tool first. Tap well. Use a small brush before heating.

2) Dull finish
✅ Heat a bit longer until it turns smooth and glossy. Keep a steady distance.

3) Scorched paper / yellowed white
✅ You overheated. Stop as soon as it melts. Keep the heat moving.

4) Tiny text looks messy
✅ Use super/ultra fine powder + anti-static prep + firm, steady stamping.
