KREUL Fixative is a fixative spray for drawings, artworks and mixed media pieces that need protection after completion. It is especially useful for materials that leave dust or smudge easily, such as charcoal, chalk, dry pastels and coloured pencils, and can also be used on works made with watercolour, tempera and poster colours.
It creates a highly transparent, matt protective film on the surface, without a strong gloss finish. Use it on artist papers, painting cardboard and canvas to help stabilise pigments and reduce the chance of colour transferring to other sheets, marking the inside of a sketchbook or getting damaged during storage and transport.
Apply by spraying from a distance of approximately 30 cm from the artwork, using thin and even coats. It is better to spray lightly and let the surface dry between coats than to apply too much product at once. For best results, use in a well-ventilated area, on a dry surface, and always test first on a similar paper or discreet area, especially when working with delicate materials or very light colours.
In an art journal or sketchbook, it can be used selectively on pages with charcoal, pastel or heavy coloured pencil before closing the book. In mixed media work, it helps fix a drawing or dry layer before continuing with additional materials, always checking that the next medium is compatible with the sprayed surface.

✨ Inspiration Tip:
If you work in a sketchbook with charcoal or pastel, spray the page lightly before closing it and let it dry fully. For extra protection, place a temporary sheet of glassine or clean paper between the pages until you are sure the fixative has completely dried. This helps reduce smudging without overloading the page with product.
