Amazing Cast Resin Fast Cure is a two-part casting resin formulated for fast curing and excellent detail reproduction. It mixes at a simple 1:1 ratio by volume or weight, making it easy to use for repeated projects.

Once poured into the mold, the resin cures in 5–15 minutes, depending on casting volume and ambient temperature. The cured resin dries white, becomes highly durable, and can be drilled, sanded, or machined using common tools.

Amazing recommends gently warming the mold before casting for more even curing. After curing, the cast piece can be painted using acrylic paints, inks, stains, or dyes, offering full creative flexibility.

🧪 Instructions for Use

Alumilite White Amazing Casting Resin

To use Alumilite White Amazing Casting Resin, mix equal parts of Side A and Side B, thoroughly and quickly, then pour the mixture into a clean, dry mold.
This resin has a very short working time and cures to an opaque white finish in approximately 10–15 minutes.

    (must be completely dry – moisture can cause foaming and bubbles)
  • Disposable mixing cups
    (silicone mixing cups are reusable and recommended)
  • Stir sticks or spatula
  • Nitrile gloves and a well-ventilated workspace

🛠️ Step-by-Step

🧼 Prepare Your Workspace & Materials

Work in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate protective gear. For best results, the mold should be slightly warm (ideally 75–80°F / 24–27°C) to help the resin flow smoothly and cure evenly.

⚖️ Measuring

Shake both Part A and Part B bottles well before use. Measure exactly equal amounts, either by volume or by weight, into separate, dry containers.

🌀 Mixing

Combine both parts into one container and mix quickly and thoroughly for 20–30 seconds, scraping the sides and bottom of the cup. The mixture will start out clear and thin, then turn opaque white as curing begins.

🫗 Pouring

Immediately after mixing, pour the resin slowly into the mold to reduce air bubbles. For detailed molds, pour from above and use a stick to help the resin reach all recesses.

👉 Work efficiently: the resin has a 2.5–3 minute working time before it begins to set.

Curing & Demolding

The resin generates heat as it cures. Depending on the mass of the piece and mold temperature, it will be ready to demold in approximately 10–15 minutes.

Finishing

Once demolded, the cured resin becomes a durable plastic that can be sanded, drilled, painted, or stained. For best paint adhesion, apply paint while the resin is still curing and slightly soft.

🫧 Bubble Prevention
Gently warm the mold before pouring. A very light dusting of baby powder or talc can help reduce surface tension and improve resin flow.

🎨 Coloring
You may add Alumilite dyes or mica powders. For consistent color, add the colorant to Part A and mix thoroughly before combining with Part B. Avoid water-based dyes or pigments.

📦 Storage
Always seal both bottles tightly immediately after use. Moisture contamination can cause foaming and improper curing.

🧪 Small Batches
Due to the fast cure time, mix small amounts at a time to prevent the resin from hardening in your mixing cup.

⚠️ Common Causes of Flexibility

⚖️ Incorrect Mixing Ratio

This is the most common cause. The resin and hardener (Part A and Part B) must be measured precisely, either by volume or by weight (for example, a 1:1 ratio for Amazing Clear Cast), and mixed thoroughly. Any material that is not fully mixed —especially residue left on the sides or bottom of the mixing cup— can result in soft or sticky areas.

🌡️ Insufficient Temperature

Curing is a chemical reaction that depends on temperature. The ideal working and curing temperature for most Alumilite resins is approximately 70°F–85°F (21°C–29°C). If the temperature is lower, the reaction slows down or stalls, preventing the resin from reaching full hardness.

📏 Thin Castings

Very thin layers or small pieces may not generate enough heat on their own (exothermic reaction) to fully cure and become rigid. Larger or thicker castings tend to cure faster and harder because they retain more heat during the curing process.

💧 Moisture

Urethane resins are highly sensitive to moisture. Humidity or water can react with Part B, causing foaming, bubbles, or incomplete curing.

🔧 How to Fix or Prevent It

🌀 Proper Mixing

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for mixing ratios and mix for the recommended time (typically 3–4 minutes), scraping the sides and bottom of the container thoroughly. Avoid scraping unmixed residue from the mixing cup into your mold.

🌡️ Ideal Temperature

Work in a room-temperature environment and ensure the materials are warm before mixing. If necessary, gently warm the resin bottles using a warm water bath.

🔥 Gentle Heat After Curing (Post-Cure)

If the piece has cured but remains slightly flexible, applying gentle, controlled heat with a heat gun or placing it in a warm environment (such as an oven set to very low temperature) can help complete the curing process—especially in thin sections.
