For Myrto, making things is not just a hobby. It is a need, a journey, a pleasure—and often the most direct way to process and make sense of reality. This mindset is what first gave birth to Scraps n Pieces: the search for materials that can withstand real use, experimentation and everyday creative work.
Alongside the shop, Myrto designs and creates handmade journals and sketchbooks, initially for herself and eventually for people all over the world. Each book is built with a strong focus on usability, paper quality and structure, so it can truly be used—to draw in, write in and work with.
Her artistic, thematic books are held in private collections across multiple countries and have appeared in film productions as objects with character and presence. Her sketchbooks are especially sought after by watercolor artists, urban sketchers and mixed media creators, as well as art conservators, designers and professionals who need reliable, durable books for their practice.
Today, Myrto’s books can be found in 33 countries worldwide—and the collection continues to grow, one journal at a time.
