The Bamboo series by Hahnemühle is the company’s first paper line made primarily from bamboo fibres, one of the world’s most renewable raw materials.
The paper has a natural white tone and a fine grain surface, offering excellent balance between control and absorbency. This makes it perfectly suited for mixed media techniques, where wet and dry materials coexist on the same surface.
With a weight of 265gsm, the paper handles water well and supports multiple layers without excessive warping. The fibre composition (90% bamboo, 10% cotton rag) ensures strength, durability and resistance to aging.
It performs beautifully with watercolor, gouache, acrylics and inks, while also excelling with charcoal, pastel, graphite and red chalk, making it a versatile choice for studies, sketchbooks and finished artworks.
