With Jacquard Photo Emulsion & Diazo Sensitizer, screen printing becomes simple, clean, and creative. This set includes 8oz (236ml) of light-sensitive photo emulsion and a Diazo Sensitizer, which activates the emulsion to react to light exposure.

Coat your screen evenly with the emulsion, let it dry in a dark space, and place your design transparency on top. After a brief exposure to light, the image will develop clearly and remain open for inking. Use with any Jacquard Screen Printing Ink or Textile Color for vibrant, detailed prints.

Ideal for printing on fabric, paper, wood, and other porous surfaces, this set delivers crisp lines and professional results every time.

🔹 How Jacquard Photo Emulsion works

Jacquard Photo Emulsion & Diazo Sensitizer allows you to create a screen printing stencil directly on your screen.
Once the emulsion is mixed with the Diazo sensitizer, it becomes light-sensitive and hardens where light hits it, while unexposed areas wash out to form the stencil.

🔹 Basic steps

  • Mix the Diazo Sensitizer with water and add it to the emulsion
  • Coat the screen evenly
  • Let it dry completely in a dark area
  • Place your design (film or transparency) on the screen
  • Expose to light for the appropriate time
  • Rinse with water to reveal the stencil

💡 Helpful tips

  • Use high-contrast artwork on film or transparency
  • Under-exposure may cause the stencil to wash out
  • Over-exposure may prevent the design from opening
  • Start with a shorter test exposure if unsure
  • Screens can be reclaimed and reused
