Dylusions Dyamond Rocks – Island Parrot are part of the Dyamond system created by Dyan Reaveley for Ranger, developed specifically for artists who want to build real texture and depth, not flat embossing.
Unlike traditional embossing powders made from finely milled material, Dyamond Rocks consist of large, irregular crystal-cut particles. When heat embossed, these crystals melt into thick, glossy layers that can completely cover a surface and create strong, tactile dimension. The result is a raised, glassy finish that feels substantial and expressive.
Island Parrot is a vivid tropical green enriched with mica, producing a lively, light-reflective surface once melted. The color is energetic and bold, making it ideal for botanical themes, jungle-inspired artwork, abstract mixed media and statement art journal pages. By controlling how heavily the crystals are applied, the final look can range from lightly textured to deeply layered and dramatic.
Dyamond Rocks are designed for layering. Multiple heat-embossed applications can be built up to increase thickness and visual impact. While the surface is still warm, stamps, tools or found objects can be pressed into the melted crystals to create deep impressions that remain permanently embossed once cooled. For best results and even adhesion, use with Dyamond Medium.
