Make your own Nook Book, based on an ancient Chinese Thread Book. Originating in Northern China, the Chinese Thread Book, or zhen xian bao, was traditionally used to store thread, needles, and other embroidery materials. They were constructed of printed cotton and had numerous interlocking compartments (pockets) that could open up and fold down flat.
The ancient art of the Chinese thread book has been updated for today and is perfect for storing threads, photos, keepsakes, or any flat embellishments or supplies. No glue, tape, or any kind of adhesive is needed. Simply follow the easy instructions and fold the pre-cut paper pieces to create 15 ready-to-use compartments. The kit also includes five practice sheets, and there’s even a video tutorial link if you get stuck.
