The Handwritten Letter 2D Embossing Folder by Crafter’s Companion is part of the Nature’s Garden - Hydrangea collection, a romantic floral range inspired by hydrangeas. Its design resembles a handwritten letter and creates a subtle but very useful embossed background, ideal for adding character to plain paper without using patterned paper.
The script pattern works beautifully as a background behind floral stamps, die-cuts, tags, photos, sentiments and journaling spots. On white or cream cardstock it creates the look of an old letter; on vellum it becomes softer and more airy; and on metallic foil it can create a more elegant finish for invitations, wedding cards or romantic handmade cards.
Highlight the raised detail with ink blending, distress inks, soft pastels, metallic wax or a light sponge application, depending on the effect you want. For a cleaner embossed result, lightly mist the paper with water on both sides before running it through your machine, then let it dry fully before adding inks or colour.
