The Dina Wakley Media Gloss Dropper Sapphire is an opaque acrylic paint with a gloss finish, designed for layering techniques and precise application. The dropper bottle gives you full control over flow and quantity, making it ideal for both detail work and controlled colour placement.

It can be used directly from the bottle or with a brush. While wet, it can be diluted with water to create softer blends and transitions. Once dry, it becomes permanent, allowing you to build layers without disturbing previous ones.

The Sapphire shade is a rich, deep blue that brings structure, depth, and a strong focal point to a composition. It works beautifully as a dominant colour in layered backgrounds, especially when you want a cooler palette to feel full rather than flat. Pair it with Legit or Lapis to build variation within blue tones, or use it with Malachite for a more complex blue-green direction. For stronger contrast and a sharper finish, bring in Mustard or Gnarly so the blue reads even more clearly against warmer, brighter notes.

👉 Features:

  • Acrylic paint in dropper bottle
  • Opaque coverage
  • Gloss finish
  • Water-reactive when wet
  • Permanent when dry
  • Controlled flow application
  • Use directly or with brush
  • Suitable for porous surfaces
  • Size: 56 ml

🔄 Application flexibility:

A practical advantage of the range is that you can switch the application style by changing the bottle top from dropper to spray, and vice versa, using the corresponding replacement top.

👍 Ideal for:

  • Art journaling
  • Mixed media
  • Detail work
  • Controlled application
  • Layering techniques

Inspiration Tip:

Use Sapphire when you want blue to anchor the composition and hold the eye. It works especially well for layered backgrounds, shadowed areas, and cooler colour stories that still need intensity. Build it up with Legit or Lapis for tonal depth, or place it beside Mustard or Gnarly when you want a cleaner, stronger contrast that makes both colours stand out.
