Jacquard Gum Arabic is a natural powdered resin, ideal for calligraphy, watercolor, gouache, and mixed media techniques. Traditionally used as a binder for pigments, it creates smooth textures, improves flow, and enhances transparency. Jacquard selects only pure gum (Acacia Senegal & A. Arabica).
When added to water or ink, Gum Arabic slows drying time, giving artists more working time and better blending possibilities. It also adds gloss to watercolors and increases color durability.
Mix it with water and Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments (or other dry pigments) to create your own custom transparent watercolors, washes, stamp inks, or calligraphy inks. Suitable for use on paper, wood, or any non-washable surface. Produces a glossy finish that can be applied with a brush or stamp, spreads easily, and cleans up with water. Can be stored in an airtight container for future use.
