The Pentel Aquash Mini Medium combines a brush and water reservoir in one compact tool. Fill the barrel with clean water and use it without repeatedly dipping into a separate water container.
The medium synthetic tip is fine enough for controlled lines and small details, while also producing broader strokes, small washes and smooth transitions. Durable nylon fibres retain their shape and respond to pressure, providing control over both line width and water application.
A valve system helps regulate the flow of water to the tip. Gently squeezing the soft barrel releases water when needed, allowing paint to be activated, diluted and blended directly on the paper. The translucent reservoir makes it easy to monitor the remaining water level.
Use it with pan or tube watercolors, water-soluble pencils and crayons, water-based markers, diluted gouache and water-soluble inks. It is especially practical for quick sketches, swatching, travel journaling, urban sketching and small colour studies.
Changing colours is simple: gently squeeze the barrel and wipe the tip on clean paper or cloth until the previous colour has cleared. Rinse thoroughly with clean water after use for a complete clean.
At approximately 12.5cm long, the Mini version fits easily into small pencil cases and portable watercolor palettes. It is a convenient choice for painting on location, reducing the need to carry extra brushes and an open water container.
